Harris Greenstone Belt

Fowler Resources has secured two exploration license applications in the Harris Greenstone Belt near Tarcoola in the Gawler Craton area of South Australia.

The exploration lease area including (ELA 2014/00259 and ELA 2014/00260) which Fowler Resources Pty LtdĀ has applied forĀ covers an area of 1643km2, near Mount Finke, south-west of Tarcoola, Gawler Craton, SA.

The area is in the Yellabinna regional reserve where mining has been granted and continues to operate.

The project area is highly prospective for Gold, Nickel, Copper and Platinum Group Elements. There is also some prospect for Uranium mineralisation in tertiary palaeochannels and structural basement traps. The initial exploration program will focus on Nickel, Copper and Gold mineralisation.

Fowler Resources proposes a staged exploration program of data review and geophysical modeling followed by a ground based calcrete geochem sampling program and a detailed magnetic survey over the priority targets to identify targets that may represent massive sulphides in ultra-mafic intrusives and adjacent structural traps. A gravity program will be scheduled as a follow up in the 2nd year of tenure.
